Getting an Account

This guide walks you through the process of getting access to Albatross and setting up your account.

How to Get Access

Albatross access is managed through workspaces. There are two ways to get started:

Option 1: Receive an Invitation

Most users are invited by their organisation:

  1. Receive an invitation email from your workspace administrator
  2. Click the Accept Invitation link in the email
  3. Create your account or sign in with an existing account
  4. You'll be added to the workspace and team(s) specified in the invitation

Option 2: Contact Terrabit

If your organisation doesn't have an Albatross workspace yet:

  1. Contact Terrabit to discuss your needs
  2. Terrabit will onboard and set up your workspace
  3. You'll receive an invitation to join as a workspace administrator

Creating Your Account

When you first accept an invitation:

  1. Click the invitation link in your email
  2. Enter your details:
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Email address
    • Password
  3. Verify your email address by clicking the link sent to you
  4. Complete your profile setup

First Login

After account creation:

  1. Navigate to Albatross
  2. Enter your email and password
  3. Select your workspace from the workspace selector
  4. You'll see the workspace overview with your accessible teams

System Requirements

Browser Requirements

Albatross works best with:

  • Google Chrome (version 90+)
  • Mozilla Firefox (version 88+)
  • Safari (version 14+)
  • Microsoft Edge (version 90+)

Network Requirements

  • Stable internet connection
  • Access to *.terrabit.com.au domains
  • JavaScript enabled
Performance Tip

For the best experience with map interactions and large imagery files, use a high-speed internet connection.

Profile Settings

After logging in, you can configure or update your profile:

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top right
  2. Select Settings
  3. Update your:
    • Profile picture
    • First and last name
    • Email (under Email tab)
    • Password (under Security tab)

Understanding Your Permissions

Your access within Albatross depends on the permissions granted to you:

Workspace Permissions

At the workspace level, you may have permissions to:

  • View all teams in the workspace (including delivered team data)
  • Manage workspace users, billing and data formats
  • Create and manage teams
  • Approve orders across all teams

Team Permissions

Within each team, you may have permissions to:

  • Manage team members
  • Create and edit areas
  • Create and manage orders
  • Approve team orders

Your administrator controls your permissions. Contact them if you need additional access or permissions.

Troubleshooting Access Issues

  • Didn't receive invitation email: Check your spam folder or ask your administrator to resend
  • Invitation link expired: Contact your administrator for a new invitation
  • Can't log in: Use the password reset feature or contact support
  • Can't see your workspace: Ensure you accepted the invitation and your account is verified
